Not only was our company the first motorboat rental company to convert an existing diesel-powered vessel to hybrid propulsion (electric boating), Yachtcharter Wetterwille is also the first motorboat rental company to use the cleanest and most sustainable fuel currently available: HVO 100.

Diesel is a fuel that harms the environment; when spilled, it causes permanent damage to surface water and the environment. Exhaust gases from boats and vehicles consist of, among other things, soot, particulate matter, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. These substances are not only harmful to health, but they are also harmful to the environment. Carbon dioxide, or CO2, is considered the main culprit behind the greenhouse effect, also known as global warming.

HVO 100 “Blue Diesel”

HVO100 is a high-quality synthetic fuel that is biodegradable and derived from a renewable energy source. It is produced from vegetable waste oils and fats from the food industry. It is low in emissions and delivers up to a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions, as certified.
HVO 100 is produced and supplied under the ISCC sustainability certification. This means that the production of HVO 100 uses only renewable raw materials sourced from
countries where:

  1. In the social sphere: men and women have equal rights, and there is no child labor.
  2. In the social sphere: production does not cause food displacement or drive up prices.
  3. In terms of nature and the environment: production does not cause harm to nature or the environment.
